Homeward Bound

Well today was the last day of our vacation and we really didn't do much. We got up fairly early to check out and then walked down to the metro station by the Vatican and took that straight to Termini train station. We arrived at Termini in plenty of time, we actually had to wait 45 minutes before boarding our train. We went outside and sat in the sun for about a half hour before heading back in to get on the train. We had a 3 hour train ride from Rome to Milan, which neither of us was able sleep during. The countryside between Rome and Milan is actually very pretty; personally I didn't think the countryside between Milan to Venice and Venice to Rome was all that beautiful. Once we got to Milan we found the bus stop and took a bus out to the airport. Then, we went across the street to a huge shopping center and walked around there for about 3 hours. Natalie bought a lot of stuff while we were there whereas I bought lunch and my last gelato and that was it. After she had done enough shopping we went back to the airport and sat out in the sun for another hour before going inside to check in and go through security. Natalie had to get some liquor for her mom and some cosmetics in the duty free shop so we went in about 2 hours early and then just sat in the airport for another hour before boarding our flight. Then Lita picked us up at the airport and brought us back to our apartment. I am absolutely exhausted and am dreading getting up for a full day of classes tomorrow.
